We are seeking a marketing or communications major with excellent writing skills and an eye for design. In the role, you will be involved in social media content creation, community management, blog research and writing, and email marketing composition.
When you join Ellie as a Marketing Intern, we expect you to bring creativity, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. We are a startup working with rapidly growing businesses so the work is fast-paced and extremely fulfilling. We need someone that is agile and comfortable with a changing day and excited to jump into the varying marketing activities for our brand and those we serve.
You will develop hands-on skills in brand building, marketing activation, technical knowledge and presentation abilities. You will play an active support role where your ideas are encouraged and your work will be visible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop social media content calendars. Research, identify relevant and timely topics, and draft posts.

Support SEO strategies by understanding keyword priorities and how they integrate into content marketing plans

Work with a designer to develop social media and email marketing campaigns and content

Write blog posts on various topics. Research, interview subject matter experts and compose articles

Photography and video editing (if skills allow)
QUALIFICATIONS

Undergrad student currently studying marketing or communications. Preferably in your Junior or Senior year

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Passionate about writing and content creation

Experience delivering work, following process, meeting deadlines, communicating progress

Proficient in Google/ G-Suite products

Knowledge or ability to quickly pick up content marketing tools like Hootsuite, Planoly, Mailchimp, and web CMS for blog publishing

Knowledge of social media legal guidelines

Maintaining an active blog a bonus
